Combination skin or oily skin? With or without color? The cheapest or the most expensive? Here we tell you our opinions on each blocker.
By now we know that sunscreen is essential to protect the skin from the sun’s rays. And now that we know that it is not necessary to go to the beach to use this product, what remains is to decide which of all is better to use. In stores and pharmacies there are dozens of options to choose from: whether it works for combination skin or oily skin; whether or not it has color; that if it has SPF 20 or SPF 50 protection. We are not experts, but we can certainly tell you about our experience with some of them.
Reminder: Sunscreens should be applied at the end of your skincare routine, and before makeup.
1. La Roche Posay Anthelios Dry Touch SPF 50+
This protector is ideal for day to day. It is easily absorbed and is perfect for oily skin, as it does not leave your face shiny and there is a clear sensation of softness when applied. If you like scented products, it can be a problem, since its smell is almost zero after less than an hour of application. It is a dermatological product with 50 ml, a fact that is reflected in the price.
2. Vichy Anti-aging fluid with vitamin E SPF 50
Despite the fact that the price is somewhat high, it is a yielding product with 40 ml, to a large extent I think this is due to its dispenser and its consistency. I’ve been using it for about three months and I think it will take me a while longer, since a few drops are enough for the face and neck. Personally, I prefer protectors with a creamier texture, however, I cannot deny that its application is easy, so it does not leave those annoying white spots on the skin. I have combination skin and it has worked well for me, it does not leave a greasy appearance although it is not matte either, I would rather say that it looks and feels hydrated. There is the variation with color, but we have only tested the one that does not have it.
3. Maya Solar SPF 50+
This is a color option that, in addition to protecting your skin, protects the environment. It is biodegradable and To avoid the waste that it can produce, it is ideal to let it dry for at least 5 minutes before applying any other product to the face. You can find it on their page or in some supermarkets.
4. L’Oréal Paris Daily Sunscreen Anti-Shine FPS50+ UV Defender
Within drugstore sunscreens, this is one of the most pocket-friendly options. It is perfect for those of us who hate the heavy sensation of sunscreens, since its formula with FP S50 is light and does not create lumps or paste, as well as having a mattifying effect. The subtle fragrance is appreciated, pleasant to apply and fades with the passing of the minutes.
5. Nivea Sunscreen SPF 50+
Nivea sunscreen promises a light sensation on your face and a matte effect. If you have oily skin and are looking for a sunscreen with which you don’t look like a mirror, this is the option. Its ingredients and consistency help unify the skin of our face, leaving an even tone on it. In addition, it is a very friendly product for our pockets.
6. Avene Fluid Ultra Mat SPF 50+
If you want to spend a little more on your skin care, Avene sunscreen could be your option. This product has a slightly thicker consistency and color, so if you apply more, your face will be very white; but don’t worry because if you use it correctly, you have guaranteed facial protection.
