What if you could contribute your grain of sand just by buying some beauty products?
There is an issue that concerns us every year and that we should not overlook: World Breast Cancer Day. It is the most common in women and affects lives every day.
Evelyn H. Lauder, the founder of the multinational beauty company Estée Lauder, created decades ago (1993) an extraordinary campaign to fight against breast cancer under the symbol of the universal pink ribbon. It is currently the world’s largest private funder of breast cancer research, making great strides in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survival.
A disease that in Spain affects 33,375 women each year, according to the latest estimates by the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology (SEOM). Of these, 6% will debut with metastasis at diagnosis. Additionally, approximately 30% will experience a relapse with metastases throughout treatment. This is the second most diagnosed tumor in the world and the fourth in Spain, and although it affects both sexes, women are the most affected. For this reason, every October 19, we must collaborate in this commemorative action of the World Day Against Breast Cancer.
This year, the campaign highlights the true impact of unions by connecting influencers to show their support. Influencers, media personalities, authors, chefs, fitness gurus, and medical experts will share tips, tricks, and resources designed to inspire action in ways that inspire, support others, and promote health and wellness. Sharing stories, that’s what it’s all about, that reach the maximum audience to increase the objectives that have been fulfilled for almost three decades:
Raise funds for medical research through donations and the sale of pink products from 19 iconic global brands of the Estée Lauder company.
Undertake awareness, education, and fundraising initiatives globally, involving employees, partners, and customers.
Illuminate iconic buildings globally to remind us of the importance of breast health.
The content of these voices will empower people worldwide to take action to beat breast cancer, providing them with ideas to make a meaningful difference in their own lives and the lives of others.
Estée Lauder’s pink products are a limited selection that needs you this year more than ever. Why? Because the collection will finance medical research projects of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Scientific Foundation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer. In Spain, and from October 1, 8 brands will come together to raise funds by selling a selection of limited edition pink products.
